In Diablo 4 Patch 2.1, Ultimate Skills are getting brand new bonuses at Rank 5, granting powerful effects for builds that invest points into them. In most builds, Ultimate skills were left at 1/5 points to unlock the power of the skill. Investing additional points was sometimes powerful but often did not provide a significant benefit.
